As a student, I became enamored with the creativity which went into the building of civilization. I learned to appreciate the motivation which drove the nations of Earth to do the things they did, from alliances to wars.

Later, as a software engineer, I learned to create web pages that not only presented interesting data, but also responded to user input. Also, I created software for the companies I worked for and my own 3D astronomy space software, Stars in the NeighborHood.

Throughout my life, I’ve held a fascination for the art form of movies, especially those that challenged our thinking and our imaginations.

Writing has been a passion of mine from an early age. I wrote my first short story at age 8. Later, with John Dalmas, I published my first novel (as Carl Martin) in 1983. Now, I’ve published 4 novels, a science fiction anthology and nearly a dozen non-fiction books. I’ve also ghostwritten dozens of fiction and non-fiction books for clients.
